Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Frac Pumper Operator you will be responsible for: Pumping operation Equipment parameters and limitations trouble shooting and unit work order completion Record of head log. Rigging up and operation of Pump. Densitometer operation and safety (lockout).
PHYSICAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
I. Frequent Climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
II. Frequent lifting (70 pounds)
III. Frequent bending, twisting and standing
IV. Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions. (hot, cold dust, dirt, noise, and gas fumes)
V. Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week
ESSENTIAL TASKS: · RigUp/Rig Down: Assist crew with iron/hose rig-up(down)as directed by supervisor.
Daily Startup/Pre-Shift:
I. Make sure the pump that you’re operating is ready for operation.
II. Confirm that box is on and it is in the correct box for the pump you’re running.
III. Make sure valve on pump and valve on manifold are open. If connected to acid truck make sure valve on acid truck is closed.
IV. Make sure pump is running, the brake is set and there is no rollover.
V. Make sure your radio is on and fully charged.
During Frac Operations:
I. Perform operations with hand held controller as directed by operator.
II. Stay alert for changes in operational instructions from operator. Tend to your controller has directed by operator.
III. Watch pump for leaks, jacking or unusual events.
Between Stages:
I. Perform repairs to equipment if necessary. Ensure proper LOTO and pump rebuilding procedures are followed.
II. Empty bucket under drip pan into Blender tub(or where directed by operator)
III. Ensure that hand held controller is stored out of the elements (snow, rain, sun ect.)
IV. Confirm that pump is adequately fueled and work area is clean.
V. Check packing as directed by operator.
VI. Assist in picking up garbage on location. We understand that it may not be your garbage, but it still needs cleaned up and it is your responsibility to help.
Job Completion/End of Day:
I. Store hand held controller inside cab of truck.
II. Check packing and grease level in reservoir.
III. Empty bucket under drip pan.
IV. Ensure equipment is properly shutdown, unless directed otherwise by supervisor.
Shop Days:
I. Assist on equipment maintenance as directed by your supervisor.
II. Understand and abide by all shop work policies and guidelines.
III. Your supervisor will coordinate work tasks for you in the shop. They will be coordinated with the Shop Supervisor.
Job Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) or more years of experience in fracturing/stimulation experience in a service company or oilfiled. Ability to proficiently operate Frac. Pump and auxiliary equipment.
Ability to communicate and comprehend the efforts of others
Ability to think and act quickly
Ability to work in a team environment. Required
- Ability to comply with DOT Regulations and Health Requirements.
- Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours.
- Must have a telephone or pager and the ability to be on 24 hour call.
Preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years Fracturing/ Stimulation experience in service company or oilfield operating company.
- Valid Commercial Operator's license or the ability to obtain one.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Working together in a positive team environment.
Must be willing to obtain knowledge of pumping standards
Must be organized and attentive to details in a fast pace working environment.
Knowledge of Cummins Insight and other diagnostic software
Ability to multi-task · Ability to operate independently is important.
Ability to champion a company safety culture.
You will help to promote safety awareness, follow policies & procedures on quality, health, safety & environment. Will also maintain required Quality & HSE certifications up to date. You have a high attention to detail, are extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task all the while working safely: Proper PPE
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Grad, GED or Equivalent Experience
Valid CDL A/B - Hazmat(preferred)
First Aid (Preferred)
CPR (Preferred)
Forklift Training (Preferred)
Lock out, Tag out (Preferred)
Hydraulic Certification a plus
PEC Premier (Preferred)
US Work Authorization:
Must be qualified to work in the United States
