WASHINGTON, June 9, 2022 — American Petroleum Institute (API) President and CEO Mike Sommers today named Amanda Eversole as Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer, where she will lead the organization’s integrated advocacy efforts across the federal government relations, state government relations, and external mobilization departments.
“Amanda has been an incredible advocate for our industry and an indispensable partner for me since she came to API nearly four years ago,” said Sommers. “Her strategic insight, coupled with her ability to build relationships and deliver results on behalf of our member companies, is well-established, and I’m delighted that Amanda has agreed to step into this expanded role.”
“I am humbled to take on this new challenge as part of a world-class organization that is showing America’s leaders all the ways our industry is solving America’s greatest energy challenges,” said Eversole. “We have an exceptional API team and strong membership, and I look forward to the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for this organization, our industry, and our country.”
