Energy Transfer LP said last Friday its Sunoco Pipeline L.P. unit launched a binding open season for ethane transportation service on its Mariner West pipeline, Kallanish Energy reports.
The six-year-old line is offering ethane origin points at Houston, Darlington, Bulger North, and Bulger South, all in Pennsylvania, to Marysville, Michigan, and the U.S.-Canada border near Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
The open-ended open season began Jan. 31.
Mariner West commenced operations in the fourth quarter of 2013 for northbound ethane transportation from the Marcellus shale processing and fractionation areas near Houston, Pennsylvania, to Marysville, Michigan, and the international border, with flow capacity of roughly 50,000 barrels per day.
