The land surrounding pipelines and energy infrastructure is a vital pathway. Just like any important road, it needs regular care to stay safe, accessible, and environmentally sound. That’s where MJP Energy Services steps in. With a history stretching back over half a century, we’ve grown from a local painting company to a dedicated team focused on ensuring these pathways – your Right of Ways (ROWs) – are in top condition. We bring a wealth of experience, a strong focus on safety, and a practical approach to managing these essential corridors across many states. We understand that a well-maintained ROW not only keeps things running smoothly but also saves you headaches and costs down the line.
From our early days in 1970, MJP Energy Services, a proud division of M J Painting Contractor Corp., has adapted and grown. Starting with residential painting, we expanded into commercial and industrial work by 1976. Recognizing the evolving needs of the energy sector, we established our Oil & Gas Division in 2004, culminating in the dedicated Energy Service Division in 2023. This journey reflects our commitment to understanding and meeting the diverse needs of our clients over the past 55 years. Today, with a team of over 40 people working in more than 18 states each year, we have the reach and know-how to handle significant ROW maintenance projects.
Safety is a core value at MJP. Understanding ROW work hazards, we proactively ensure everyone returns home safely through:
- Regular Team Check-ins: Bi-weekly company-wide safety meetings for updates and awareness.
- Job-Specific Safety Talks: Pre-job meetings addressing unique project risks and mitigation.
- Daily On-Site Reminders: “Tailgate” meetings reinforcing safety and addressing immediate concerns.
- Providing the Right Gear: Ensuring mandatory use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
This commitment offers peace of mind, knowing our team diligently avoids common ROW hazards like accidents, asset damage, overlooked markers, challenging terrain, and issues like erosion or fallen trees.
We at MJP believe in open communication and clear project understanding from the start. Our straightforward, collaborative bidding process includes:
- Seeing is Believing: Visiting your operations for a firsthand scope assessment.
- Using the Right Maps: Utilizing tools like Google Earth and KMZ files for aerial views, terrain understanding, and accurate measurements.
- Spotting Potential Issues Early: Identifying hazards during pre-bid meetings for proactive planning.
- Flexible Pricing Options: Offering per-mile, daily, or not-to-exceed time and materials cost structures.
This approach ensures you have a clear picture of the work involved and the associated costs, building trust and transparency from the outset.
