National Hispanic Energy Policy Council Launches at Puerto Rican Summit in Orlando
Earlier this month, the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FSHCC), working in conjunction with CEA, announced the launch of the National Hispanic Energy Policy Council.
The Council’s goal is to advocate for affordable, reliable energy and highlight the outsized energy burden faced by Hispanic families in the US. FSHCC CEO, President Julio Fuentes, stated that “Hispanic families bear a 20% higher energy cost burden than the median U.S. family […] and this especially hurts many Hispanic entrepreneurs, workers, and small businesses across the country.” The council seeks to promote accessible energy through continuous advocacy for policies that increase energy affordability.
