Add a small amount of Reduced Water Gel to the planting hole when planting flowers outdoors. For potted plants, mix/bury Reduced Water Gel into the potting soil. Keep all Reduced Water Gel at least 2” below the surface. Reduced Water Gel can be added to house plants so you have no worries when going on vacation!
Planting Trees
Add a small amount of Reduced Water Gel around the planting hole and another small amount with the backfill. Keep all Reduced Water Gel at least 2” below the surface.
Hydroseeding
Apply at a rate of 9 -15 pounds per acre. Add to the slurry after the mulch and before the fertilizer.
Planting a Lawn
For new lawn installs, apply at a rate of 4 – 5 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. and work into the soil 3 – 4 inches when preparing the ground before seeding.
Aerating
After aerating a lawn, broadcast Reduced Water Gel at a rate of 4 – 6 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft.
Laying Sod
Apply at a rate of 4 – 5 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. and work into the soil 3 – 4 inches before laying sod. This product works wonders for sod installs.
