Natural gas and NGLs create jobs, and nowhere is this better shown than in the recently announced, $7 billion Royal Dutch Shell ethane cracker plant that will be built in Monaca, Pa. The project is expected to use more than 6,000 construction workers at its peak, and is the most significant job producing project to hit the tri-state region in the last 50 years. This world-class petrochemical facility is expected to provide new manufacturing and building trade opportunities, bringing prosperity to the tri-state region with up to $10 billion in economic activity.
This panel discussion, led by Dennis Yablonsky of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, will include input from local and regional development organizations, employment experts and labor leaders, who will also discuss the tremendous opportunities NGLs are creating across the tri-state region.
