If you’ve ever thought about growing your own food, filling your yard with color, or just learning a new skill, why not make 2026 the year you start a garden?

Beating the Winter Blues
Winter in West Virginia can bring gray skies and chilly days, and sometimes that can take a toll on how we feel. But there are plenty of simple ways to brighten the season:
- Get outside anytime the sun peeks out. A short walk can work wonders.
- Start a small indoor project—gardening, crafting, or even houseplants can lift your spirits.
- Check on your animals and livestock more often. Caring for them keeps you active and connected.
- Stop by the Co-op! Sometimes a friendly face, a little conversation, or browsing a new project idea is the perfect winter pick-me-up.
