Current PA Guidelines for Working on Well Sites and Pipelines
You will find below the latest information about working on well sites and pipelines in PA. This is a fluid situation and the guidelines will hopefully be changing quickly as we get back to “normal.”
- Work on well sites is considered life-sustaining and therefore work will continue to be done. As long as the pad is built and drilling is or has taken place.
- Work on midstream facilities can continue for the same reason above. Operations and maintenance activities are considered life sustaining and can continue. Any active construction projects still have to be maintained from an environmental and safety perspective.
- New construction work on pipelines is being halted, but the pipelines companies are requesting waivers from the Governor’s office. The result of these requests we’ll learn later. The governors office has received over 10,000 waiver requests over the weekend and is behind in sending out the results of the waiver requests. The results, at this time, will only be sent to the requesting organizations.
- Well permitting approvals will be delayed at least 2-4 weeks.
