EVX Midstream Partners Wednesday announced it’s initiated Phase II construction on its water gathering systems in the Eagle Ford Shale play, Kallanish Energy reports.
Additionally, EVX announced it’s completed a “significant” contractual extension with one of the Eagle Ford’s “dominant producers.”
“Phase II captures significant volume previously disposed of at competitor SWDs (saltwater disposal wells) and represents a strategic pipeline expansion to our existing gathering systems providing EVX approximately 500 miles of gathering lines,” said Herb Chambers IV, EVX’s CEO.
Chambers said the contract revision gives EVX’s largest (unnamed) customer capacity throughout the entire Eagle Ford play, allowing for basin-wide recycling opportunities, and gives EVX the opportunity to gather their volumes for the remainder of the 10-year term.
“We now serve most every producer in the basin and have executed long-term contracts totaling almost 1 million acres of dedicated acreage” Chambers said.
Both EVX Midstream I and II are financially backed by midstream investment firm Five Point Energy.
