Equinor said on Friday a fire broke out in the engine room of the Dubai Harmony oil tanker during loading at its operated Sture oil export terminal – one of the major oil terminals in Norway, Kallanish Energy reports.
The company’s emergency response centre received reports of the incident at 11:02 local time. Public emergency rescue service and authorities were tackling the fire alongside the 23 crew members aboard the Liberia-flagged ship.
An Equinor spokesperson said the fire didn’t affect output at the terminal.
The facility was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
