Cleaning solar panels is projected to grow globally into a $1 billion (U.S.) market by 2026, according to a new study by Global Market Insights.
Growing end user preference to adopt a cleaner energy source along with the introduction of smart solar panel cleaning technologies will stimulate product adoption, said the company with headquarters in Delaware.
It said the residential solar panel cleaning industry exceeded $48 million (U.S.) in 2019 and is projected to grow by more than 8% CAGR through 2026.
Favorable regulatory norms, rapid development of technologies, subsidies, incentives and friendly building codes have all helped the solar industry grow in recent years, it said.
Electrostatic solar panel cleaning will grow, especially in desert areas where water is scarce, it said.
