Spanish LNG services provider, HAM Group, will build Chile’s first LNG refuelling station through a partnership with local company Lipigas, Kallanish Energy reports.
HAM Chile was picked to design, build and commission the facility, which will be located in Linares, Maule Region. The station will supply 30 trucks from Cervecera AB InBev Chile, offering the company 20% emissions reductions compared to other “less environmentally-friendly fuels,” HAM said.
The project is part of Lipigas’ drive for promoting LNG as a transport fuel, helping companies to decarbonize road transport and achieve reductions in CO2, nitrogen oxides and other fine particles emissions.
