US oil country tubular goods prices remained mired last week as domestic mills fight for market share, Kallanish hears from market sources.
Kallanish held representative product P110 domestic welded casing at $1,175-$1,200/short ton. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
“There’s been no change in mill pricing, and they remain very aggressive,” says one Gulf Coast trader.
He adds that exporters of energy tubulars to the US are no better off, as a result of the frenzied search for orders.
“Importers are hurting just as much,” he says. “And Korean mills are considering consignment.”
