A leader in the underground construction industry, Barbco, Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer of auger boring machines, directional drills, guided boring machines and advanced tunneling equipment.
Their newest product, FlexBor is designed to virtually eliminate ‘frac-outs’ and ‘inadvertent returns’ that are often associated with horizontal directional drilling. In addition, the FlexBor reduces costs with time and expenses in most cases, by requiring one head to create the needed hole diameter and often shortening the length needed to install the product. The use of augers within allows for the cuttings to be removed mechanically and controlled with the assistance of air and/or water. The cuttings and down hole pressures are retained in casing while being carried to the surface.
Revolutionizing the underground construction industry, the Barbco Tribor is a hybrid of three types of machinery: an auger boring machine, a guided boring machine and a horizontal directional drill. Tribor is available in three models — Tribor 30, Tribor 36 and the Tribor 48. Each capable of delivering torque equivalent to their respective conventional auger boring machine’s in third gear. Tribor accommodates just about any down hole steering system no matter if it’s a conventional HDD transmitter housing, mud motor, air hammer or camera assist target housing. Combined with a robust mud circuit, we’ve developed the most versatile system in the industry.
