NewsLetters experienced steady growth as the result of our expansion into OH and WV as well as expanding our services.  2012 was the year that positions us for more dramatic growth in 2013 and 2014 as the pipeline and drilling grows more rapidly.

  • We saw our traffic to the directory increase to approximately 6000 visitor per month which is an increase of over 40%.
  • In evaluating our site traffic, we now see that the state of Texas is third largest state source of traffic after PA and OH
  • 25% of our traffic now comes from mobile devices and over 60% of that traffic is from iPhones and iPads.
  • Our membership increased by 53%.  Thank you, members.
  • We started a blog which gets distributed to 40+ social media web sites.  Any member can send us PR releases or information and we’ll post it on our blog at no cost.
  • is now creating mobile apps and mobile web sites.  We are offering deep discounts to our members.  With rapid change over from laptops to smart phones, iPads and tablets, we strongly urge all businesses to develop mobile apps and mobile web sites.  It could be the difference between winning or losing in the oil and gas industry.  Let us know if you are interested in pricing. 
  • We introduced advertorials which gave members the opportunity to provide significantly more information to visitors.

In 2012, partnered with the Ohio Oil and Gas Association in Ohio and Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research to conduct “Oil and Gas Business Development Seminars.”  We received considerable support from the industry with Chesapeake Energy, Chevron, Anadarko, Seneca Resources, Baker Hughes, Superior, Halliburton and Universal Well Services participating in the seminars.  We did seminars in the following cities:

  • St. Clairsville, OH
  • Canton, OH, 3 seminars
  • Zanesville, OH, 2 seminars
  • Meadville, PA

Two seminars will be occurring early in the first quarter.  The first will be in Altoona on January 22 with Chevron  and the second on February 6 with Cabot Oil and Gas.

Expos was selected by the Belmont County Ohio Board of Commissioners to assist in launching its inaugural “Ohio Valley Oil and Gas Expo” which was huge success with over 150 exhibitors and 1500 attendees.
